Aisha Howells is a Senior Lecturer in Social Work at the University of Suffolk. She is a registered social worker interested in understanding the world through a critical lens and passionate about carrying out research in child and family social work, abuse, lived experience, narrative approaches and practice education. An experienced social work practice educator, Aisha’s love for creativity underpins her entire social work learning and teaching approach.

Drawing on practical tools from the book “Creative Approaches to Social Work Practice Learning”, Aisha will deliver a one-hour workshop demonstrating how creativity can enrich learning within a social worker-student relationship.
The workshop will explore how creativity can hold value and support a move beyond old patterns of thinking, to something more meaningful. So, whatever your creative ability this workshop will support you within a culture of creative learning and a sharing of ideas, to use within your creative practice ‘toolkit’.
