Background

Kajetan Cegłowski is a PhD candidate in Politics and International Relations. He obtained an MPhil degree in Peacebuilding and Mediation at the University of St Andrews (2021-2023) and a BA degree in International Relations (with a year abroad) at the University of York (2017-2021). As part of these programmes he completed two student exchanges - a full year at the National Research University Higher School of Economics in Saint Petersburg (2019/20) and a semester at the University of Belgrade (Semester 1 2022/23)

His current research investigates the European Union enlargement process in the Western Balkans, particularly Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is also interested in the topics of secession, state fragility and ethnic conflict.
