I am a PhD student from Taiwan with a background in science. Currently, I am based in Science, Technology and Innovation Studies (STIS), working on a project on the digitalisation of assistive technology, supervised by Dr Fadhila Mazanderani, Dr Martyn Pickersgill and Dr Ingrid Young. Specifically, my project is about how the development of communication aids into apps has implications for the understanding of dis/ability, users and accessibility. I have a broad research interest in Disability and Technology, Sociologies of Disability and Medicine, Gender and Technology, and Gender Studies. At the moment, I have a particular interest in how digital technology plays a role in mediating our lives and our understanding of accessibility and disability.
More about my current interests can be found on my blogs here.
