What is the Student Community Certificate?

The Student Community Certificate aims to grant recognition to students making a substantial and/or ongoing impact to the SPS student community.

It recognises your commitment to improving the student experience for your peers, as well as dedication to particular interests or causes.

This opportunity is open to all SPS students.

Certificate Structure

To complete the Certificate you must:

Complete a community impact activity.
Submit a creative reflection piece.

What counts as a community impact activity?

Any activity you undertake that provides a substantial, and/or ongoing impact to the SPS student community. For example, representing your peers on the Student Council, taking on the role of WP Community Champion, securing funding from our Student Initiative Fund to help towards a conference.

What is a creative reflection?

At minimum we ask that you complete a 500-word reflection on the impact activity you have completed, including your aims for the activity, how it went, the impact for students, and any lessons learned for the future.

We'd love for you to be creative with it - you could work with our Comms Team on an Instagram reel or story; write a blog post; or create a poster-board or zine.
