In this workshop, we will discuss the practical aspects of referencing, understanding the purpose of referencing​, learning how to reference in essays​ and what sources to use.

By the end of this workshop, we will answer the questions:

  • What is referencing and why do we do it?​
  • What happens when you don't reference properly?​​
  • What sources and how many references? ​
  • How do you format in-text references and bibliographies?
  • What referencing tools to use?

This session is a requirement for the Academic Skills Development Certificate.
