This workshop is comprised of Three parts:

 

Part One- Defining Your Short Term Goal
 

  • The importance of self reflection and useful exercises to help you identify your USP and niche skillset
  • How to identify suitable opportunities which match your current career status
  • How to summarise your current skills & experience- i.e. tell your narrative
  • The importance of identifying gaps in your professional skillset and tips on how to fill these quickly.
     

Part Two- Formulating an Effective Job Search Strategy
 

  • Tips on how to research and explore the current labour market opportunities
  • Doing your own research and making informed choices
  • How to network effectively, online and offline and why it is so vital for success
  • Tips on how to maximise your LinkedIn for networking, professional exposure and job search
  • Getting relevant experience
  • Practical tips for job search, i.e. where to look and useful follow up resources
     

Part Three- Writing Successful Applications
 

  • How to create authentic CVs and Cover letters which showcase your standout qualities and skills- including good examples of CVs
  • Step by step advice on tailoring applications to job adverts
  • Case study examples for a recipe for success
  • Context of applications for ATS & AI
  • Q&A
