Course delivery methods

The different methods of course delivery are as follows:

On campus/ In-person

The lecture/tutorial/seminar will take place in a University building, with the relevant teaching staff in attendance in person.  Details of the physical location are included in your personal timetable.

Seminar (or lecture/tutorial) – online live

The teaching activity will be conducted digitally online at the scheduled time via the digital platform chosen by the teaching team (e.g. Collaborate).  You are expected to participate in this session at the scheduled time.

Lecture – online pre-recorded

Lectures with this label are pre-recorded and released at the scheduled time in LEARN. Once they have been released, you can view the recordings in your own time.

Self-study placeholder online

This is a digital online teaching activity that doesn’t take place at a scheduled time (known as ‘asynchronous’ in University jargon).  You can access and contribute to the activity in your own time.
