Description
Q-Step is a national initiative to ensure students are equipped with the quantitative data-analysis skills needed in tomorrow’s social scientists. While the focus is at undergraduate level, Q-Step also offer courses and resources for secondary school pupils and are involved in a number of other projects at postgraduate level.
The University of Edinburgh is one of only 18 universities in the UK chosen and funded to develop degree programmes and a series of other projects aimed to develop quantitative skills in the social sciences under the Q-Step banner. This project is funded by the Nuffield Foundation, the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE).
