Description

Despite many arguments to increase the representation of women in academic leadership in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine (STEMM), progress continues to be slow. This conversation between Prof Janet Hering and Dr Kelly Blacklock will explore the systemic barriers to women’s advancement and how these can be overcome. We will look at these issues in the context of the responsibility of universities and academic research institutions to address major challenges facing society.

Prof Hering will deliver a short lecture, followed by a discussion with Dr Kelly Blacklock and questions from the audience.

This event is organised by GENDER.ED, and co-badged with the Institute for the Advanced Studies in the Humanities (IASH).

This event is hybrid.
