Join us for an exploration of memory and language as consequential embodied experiences. Verónica Márquez examines the role of language in identity formation amongst exiled Chilean children who remained in the UK after the country's return to democracy. Cecilia Prieto explores the stigma and shame attached to medical labels for body weight in the context of the medicalisation and surveillance of children's health and wellbeing in Chile.
