Nayantara Nandi Basu is a PhD Candidate in International Development. Her research focuses on the intersection of digital technology and humanitarian cash interventions among Syrian refugees in Jordan, with a focus on mobile wallets. 

Nayantara has over 5 years of professional experience in the humanitarian sector, having worked extensively with UNRWA on the skills development and livelihood generation of Palestinian refugees in Jordan, Gaza, the West Bank, Syria, and Lebanon.
