Background

I am currently a PhD candidate in Social Work at the University of Edinburgh. My research explores social work engagement with young people experiencing homelessness and examines how social work education can strengthen the integration of policy and practice. I hold an MSc in Social Policy( with systematic review) from University College London (2024) and a Master’s in Social Work from Peking University (2020). Between 2020 and 2022, I worked as a social work supervisor in Guangdong, China, where I was actively involved in frontline casework, community interventions, and organisational development. This combination of academic training and professional experience has shaped my commitment to bridging policy research and social work practice in both local and international contexts.
