PhD: Incoherent Labours, Anthropochory Subjects: Colonialities, Crime and Homelessness in Scotland's Green Health Inclusion Services

I am a PhD Candidate in medical anthropology investigating emergent Green Health programming in Scotland for folks experiencing intersecting forms of social marginalisation, including homelessness, diagnosis and treatment for mental illness and/or disability, substance-use issues, and/or involvement with the criminal justice system. Funded by the Wenner-Gren Foundation, I explore ethnographically the ways in which greenspace configures a politics of care proximate to the NHS Scotland and its partner services. I am interested in how Green Health entangles daily experiences of access, violence, and labour in health and social care, complicating what it means for individuals and governance to speculate 'good' and 'better care' in Scotland during UK austerity.
