My broader research interests lie in historical sociology. More particularly, my professional and academic interests lie in manifestations of nationalism in Scotland's institutions.  My PhD thesis delves into the intricate ways in which Scottish history is narrated in the National Museum of Scotland. Specializing in this intersection of nationalism and museology, I combine historical analysis with narrative theory to understand how national identities and political demands are museumised in response to present-day requirements.

My research focus is on the Scottish galleries of the National Museum of Scotland, where I dissect how artefacts and labelling practices contribute to a grand narrative of Scotland, questioning the balance between historical fact and national myth.

In my work, I often engage in an ongoing discourse between academia and public history, delving into the mechanics of how stories are told and how they are impacted by the political discourse outside the museum's walls. As much as my research delves into understanding the past, I am particularly focused on how we relate to it in the present.

I am also part of the Organising Committee of the ASEN (Association for the Studies of Ethnicity and Nationalism) Conference 2024, Nationalism and Memory

I have also written a book chapter in Feminist Encounters in Statebuilding (2024). This chapter is the first feminist reading of the National Museum of Kosovo and tackles women's lack of representation in the national narrative.
