By focusing on water infrastructure governance in Cameroon, I am interested in understanding the way utility services are managed in the global south. Using participatory mapping, creative arts, and ethnography, I will assess the existing system and identify ways to reduce the gap between demand and supply. I will also conduct surveys and digital data modeling to complement my method for estimating a Water Poverty Index.
Background
I hold a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Geography, along with a Professional Master's degree in Environment and Sustainable Development. The degrees were obtained from the Universities of Douala and Dschang in Cameroon. In addition, I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Spatial Development Planning from KU Leuven in Belgium. Prior to enrolling for a Ph.D. at the University of Edinburgh, I worked as a research assistant at Cameroon's National Institute of Cartography.
