Background

Pooja Marwaha is a part time Sociology PhD student at the University of Edinburgh.

Pooja is passionate about advocating for minorities such as queer people, women, and people of colour. She has a wealth of experience in carrying out social research around sensitive topics, having developed skills in evaluation, statistical analysis, interviews, and data collection.

Pooja works full time as an Evaluation and Research Coordinator at Skills Development Scotland, having previously worked as Skills Planning Coordinator and as a Graduate Research and Evaluation Intern. She has worked as an Outreach and Research Assistant at Amina MWRC and as a Parliamentary Assistant at the Scottish Parliament.

Pooja holds an MSc in Political Communication from the University of Glasgow as well as an MSc in Social Research from the University of Edinburgh, having previously completed a BA (Hons) in Politics at the University of Strathclyde.
