Research interests
I am interested in intimacy, emotions, and social change. My work explores how intimate life, with a particular focus on love, coupledom, marriage, and parenthood, is shaped by cultural narratives, moral expectations, and everyday interactions.
In my PhD project, I focus on secular Jewish Israeli millennials and their dating experiences both online and offline. I employ qualitative research methods to trace how participants navigate digital dating landscapes, relationship ideals, marriage rituals, and reproductive futures relationally, highlighting coupledom as a collective effort in a highly familistic, conservative society.
Beyond my academic interests, I manage a community archive in North Edinburgh (the ARC project at Granton: Hub), supporting local heritage, oral history, and participatory archiving as ways of connecting communities to collective memory and sense of place.
