PhD project title: The Law and Politics of Citizenship in the Arab Gulf States

Prior education: MA in Political Science, the University of Oslo

Alsabeehg works as a tutor at SPS and has guest lectured in the Edinburgh Law School. She is a country expert for the Global Citizenship Observatory (GLOBALCIT). Alsabeehg has also experience as a consultant for the International Labour Organization (ILO) on a study on forcibly displaced persons and the digital economy in the Middle East.

Alsabeehg has published a book chapter on citizenship in Bahrain in the book The Middle East in Transition – The Centrality of Citizenship, edited by Nils A. Butenschøn and Roel Meijer (2018). She has also written the country reports on citizenship laws in Bahrain (2021) and Saudi Arabia (2022) for GLOBALCIT. Her commentary has appeared in major Norwegian newspapers such as Aftenposten and Dagbladet.
